Every scratch test is supported by a comprehensive builder-backed report, presenting results clearly and including professional recommendations. Scratch testing is particularly valuable:

• During construction (QA/QC checks before handover).

• Within the 12-month warranty period, where concerns are raised by homeowners or warranty providers.

• Beyond 12 months, where indicative data may assist in assessing mortar performance, though results must be considered alongside weathering and carbonation.

Where further certainty is needed, we can coordinate independent laboratory analysis.

Laboratory / Chemical Analysis (Confirmatory Testing)

For disputes, warranty claims, insurer reviews, or heritage projects, we arrange independent accredited laboratory testing of mortar samples. Our role is to collect and document samples on site and incorporate the laboratory’s findings into a clear, builder-backed report with recommendations.

Chemical analysis provides data on:

• Cement, lime, and sand proportions.

• Presence of admixtures or additives.

• Possible contaminants such as acid-cleaning residues.

This type of testing is more invasive and costly, so it is generally used as a confirmatory option where further evidence is required.

Brick Replacement

No. Probrik collects and documents mortar samples on site, then submits them to an independent, accredited laboratory for analysis. We prepare a builder-backed report based on the laboratory findings.
